I am thinking of I fitting a DP Chip to my 07 Nissan 3 L common rail tow vehicle.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

hi gt
have a browse of the newest to the market
www.chipit.com.au
apparently a bit cheaper and are quickly gaining popularity by satisfied users read a few articles on them
and it also has a security system that can be activated by a mobile phone if your 4by is stolen which s an add-on plus feature
they have a chip for 2007 nissans
cheers

We have DP chips in both our vehicles Rodeo and Peugeot and love what they have done for fuel and performance. I would happily recommend them.

I had a 2004 3l (pre Common rail ) with the DP chip The extra power was great when Towing my Jayco Swan and the fuel economy was definately improved ( sorry no figures) . I took it out of the Patrol before I sold it because it was the same model that goes into my 2006 td auto cruiser, after reprogramming that is. Still very happy. Haven't heard anything bad about the other makes.
Good luck
Joel

I have a 2008 CRD patrol witha DP chip. Goes well and am very ahappy with it, the vehicle has a lot more get up and go but little or no difference to fuel. I went the DP chip because they will warrant the motor and gear box if something happens and the manufacturer will not fix it. If this happens they promise to front the manufacturer and if all else fails cover your costs. They will only do this while your vehicle is under new car warranty, so go the extended warranty. See their web site for more info on this. I had a steinbauer on the Terracan I had and it was very good as well but didnt have the same warranty coverage even though I didnt have a problem.
I would recommend the DP chip. I have mine set at a setting of 6.

The big difference is the reduced gear changes with the DP chip.
Fuel average is 13.9 L/100 with van & truck loaded and 10.9 L/100 truck only
