moreton island

looking at going to moreton island for a week or so,has anyone got any good camp spot recommendations,prefer bushcamp style, and tips on good spots to visit,the trek notes here are a bit light on info,is there only one barge company, quoted $380 return for 4wd and camper trailer off peak rates,seems a bit steep,explore oz site says there is 2 barges 2 but cant find any other then the micat on internet
any info would be appreciated

Pretty much just one barge now.
$380 sounds right - more for extra passengers (I think 2 are included) and then add on vehicle permit ($38) as well.
Most of the eastern beach campsites are "bushcamp style". eg. North-east or South-east zones. Some of the other areas are like that too - eg. south of Tangalooma on western beach (but can be sandflies there).

I'll let you do a few searches here and on some of the other forums for good spots to visit.
