Evening all,
I am after a photo of how you can padlock Kaymar swing arms to stop them being knocked off.

Cheers

Do you mean being stolen.

If so cant provide a pic but heres how I did mine on a single spare wheel carrier.

Shut the catch and drill a hole vertically through the top of the C section centrally located and right through the arm and out the bottom.

Go to a locksmith and buy a good ABUS lock and ask him to put a long D hasp in it Show him what you want and they will have one to suit.

Total cost of mine was $55 keyed to match my other padlocks.

Certainly stops anyone from removing the arms. Even if they undo the bearing they cant get it off the car.

Ah ha

So the hasp actually wraps around the handle.

Thanks

Well no You just slide the hasp down thru the hole and the lock body then slides up to lock it so its outside the bar that is in the C section holder.

It doesnt go over the handle as such just the bar in the receiver thats bolted to the bumper.
You can loosen the handle just a little bit but not enough to open it as the pin down through the bar wont let it.

It wont come off believe me I will try and draw it for you as I no longer have the unit.

Basically its the same as a pin holding an HR hitch on the holder but is vertical and you use a padlock not a pin

I got the padlocks at Morayfield Locksmiths and the long hasp fitted at Coffs Harbour

Any GOOD locksmith will have them. They are commercial quality though but are really good locks.
I still have the one I used as I kept it after selling the unit.

Here are the pics

Firstly a rough diagram looking across the back of the car

Secondly the actual lock and a ruler to give the size

Thirdly it shows the bar and if you look you can see the hole drilled through it to the right of the handle.
Take the tyre off and drill them with the unit closed or it might not line up
