Can anyone suggest any good camping spots around the wide bay burnett area. we have an offroad van and are self contained, we like camping beside a creek.
Not muck into caravan parks more the private areas where you can have a camp fire.
Cheers.

Emu Creek in the Benarkin SF east of Blackbutt......also there is a nice little spot about 15 Ks north of Nanango called The Broadwater, left of the Burnett Hwy for one kilometre where you will see a gate, just open and go in....BUT first check if it is wet or not.....camp along side Barkers Ck. In the camps book there is another spot is Kimboombi Falls (has toilets) 11 km E of Goomeri turn S for 5 Km. There is a few more in Camps Australia.

Mouth of Kolan River - near Moore Parke beach. I have only been in for a day trip and not camped, but it looks like a nice spot.
