Arriving in
Perth tomorrow after 4 mnths on the road.wondering if anyone knows where I could get my trail a mate serviced/repaired. this is my second one that has continually failed me when travelling but for some reason I persist because it is much easier to pump than wind for us 2 old ladies !! ( this time though I brought a spare Jockey wheel) I have topped up the oil twice on this trip. first time worked, 2nd time no go, it won't pump up! The previous one failed four times and had seals replaced twice. This one is on its first trip. any help would be appreciated.
Cheers Mac

You can buy a seal kit off them which I did and it wasnt a success.
The guy who does them is in
Adelaide and when I got there I took
mine to him.
He put in a whole new piston and seals and put it under 1300kg of pressure for 15 mins. It held OK and has been good since.
main thing is keep them dry I have a long skinny plastic bottle I put over
mine and it is OK now.
Mostly they blow seals if you overload them or let the plunger shaft get wet and it gets pits in it and destroys the seals as you pump it up and down.
Thats what the man told me.
I suggest you buy a new piston and assembly as I did and just screw it on.
Cost me $60
Also use the correct oil which I think called 32
Will look in van and repost later

I bled
mine about 5 times after getting seals done and it still leaked.
The correct oil is Gulf Western Hydraulic Jack Oil Part no 30194
Viscosity 32
Look at the piston as you pull the handle up If its rough and rusted seals wont fix it.
