Hi Folks,
I am considering getting the vaccuum booster on my 60 series overhauled at a cost of $250.00. Has anyone ever done the same to their cruiser and was it worth it?
Thanks in advance.

I dont own a 60 series. But if your booster is not working and you want it to work then its gotta be worth it doesnt it?.Considering this wouldnt be a job you would be expecting to do very often then the cost is probably neglible when spread out over the life off the vehicle.
Are there no new parts available?

The thing is the clutch pedal effort is quite high but not so much that it is unuseable. On the other hand it does get heavy driving around town. My question is how much of a difference do the clutch vaccuum boosters make? Is it worth $250.00 for just a slight decrease in pedal effort. I think it is going to be one of those things that either I willl be wasting money or will be pleasantly suprised.

Having had a 60 Series, yes it is worth it. The clutch is quite heavy without boost assistance long term & you will wish you have spent the money !

Thanks for the input. I figure since I will keep the car, I will spend the money.
Cheers.
