We are heading to Tasmania over xmas this year with 2 kids and want to do
sandy Cape track but they won't let you through unless thereb is at least 2 in a convoy. Just wondering if any one was going to be over there that we could tag along with between 27th Dec & 12 Jan.

If you're keen and can't find anyone before heading off I'd suggest going anyway and stopping in at
Arthur River for your permit. You should be able to find someone to tag along with there. I think the requirement for 2 vehicles only applies south of Greenes Ck. I'd be amazed if you couldn't find someone to travel with somewhere between
Arthur River & Greenes Ck. At that time of the year there's always people (lots of locals) heading in and out - weather permitting.

Sandy Cape beach alone. Often it's a breeze but other times it's not. More than one vehicle has come a grief on that beach.

Hi There, we are going to be in Tassie during this period and we too are keen to do the
Sandy Cape Track. Definately our car, plus some friends trying to get Spirit of Tassie bookings at the moment. Haven't sured up our schedule yet but in Tas from Dec 28 to Jan 13th. We have a fully set-up Range Rover Sport, our friends a Land Rover Defender. Looking forward to it. Maybe we can hook up?

Be quick to book those tickets, we wanted to sail 27th but booked out for cars so had to go 26th otherwise we would have had to wait until 29th for day sailing. It would be good if we could hook up some stage we have 100 series cruiser.

Sorry yeah, didn't make myself very clear; we're already booked on 27th on the night-sail (our preference); it's just our friends who are trying to book now. Lets keep in touch and see if we can sort something out. Cheers.
