Hi all,

I have been trying to source some LED strip lighting here in Perth, without much luck.

Anyone know where I can source some 90cm LED strip lighting in Perth?

Regards

Have you tried the 12 volt shop Barry? Being rural based, we use mail order and Dealextreme.com from Hong Kong have a good range of LEDs.

I'll second Dealextreme MH. Their 30 LED strips at about $10 each would be hard to beat.

Hi Barry.

I bought mine from the E O SHOP. They switch from white to yellow.
Very satisfied with them. Cheers Steve.B.....

At the risk of disagreeing with the vendor and yourself Terrafirma, you simply don't need the yellow with LED's.

Yellow is very effective in reducing the ultraviolet in Flouros which are like a magnet to insects but that problem doesn't exist in LED's which have a very controlled output light spectrum. It's not the yellow, it is the lack of ultraviolet that makes the yellow flourosr attract less insects.

Many times I have been away with guys who have the yellow flouro set ups and I have my leds. I would guess that there are 20 to 50 times as many insects attracted to the yellow flouros as my white LEDs every time, and 50 - 200 times as many for white flouros.

Just go for the brightest white LEDs, forget the yellow.

You make sense however in my case we use the yellow as a softer light ocassionally. The insects are not an issue.
