We have a troopie. It has an extra passenger door and a 2-
seat bench in the middle and a 3-
seat bench in the rear. If we wanted to swap the two bench seats (putting the 2-seater in back giving us more room for a fridge slide or so
forth next to it) or make other
seat modifications, does anyone know what is 'legal' and where I could get the appropriate 'regulations' Can we do it ourselves or would we have to have it 'professionally' done? We are in WA. It is currently registered as a 8-seater and that wouldn't change. Then again we are thinking about swapping out the driver and front passenger 3/4
seat for two nice comfy ones and same questions would apply. Thanks in advance for any info anyone has!

you cannot modify the
seat runners or the factory
seat mounts on the floor
without getting it engineered . In vict you cannot remove the rear seats or the 3rd row seats legally without notifying Vic Roads . as they consider the vehicle unroadworthy . beats me how it affects roadworthy ???? they then change the
catergary of rego , eg 5
seat , 7
seat !!! better check your vehicle rego people
