I've just ordered a Hema 5 Navigator from the EO shop, and yes, Adele does match pricing found elsewhere.

Now I haven't got it yet but I reckon I'll need a sunshade for it so I've ordered one of these off Ebay:

5 Inch Sunshade

Image Could Not Be Found

The price of the sunshade is, relatively speaking, a killer but I've scoured the net high and low for better. There are other types but they need velcro on the side of the GPS and that's where all the connectivity sockets are.

Anyway, I'll let the Forum know how these 2 things fit together. I'm sure a couple of people would be interested.

I had one of a similar design for MIO I had once. The GPS is more likely to fall off the windscreen than the shade from the GPS. Think I'll order a couple myself. Made a cardboard one - does the job but looks a bit agricultural.

I've already got one of these shades on a Garmin 4.3" GPS. They sit perfectly still. They could stick out a bit more and provide more shade, but they don't....

As for the GPS. If I position it so that the device is resting on the dashmat it will never fall anywhere.

..yeah before I lash out and get one would like to know if they fit properly. Not all 5" GPS unts the same dimensions. I ordered some 5inch screen protectors for the HN5 but they were not the right dimensions despite still being 5" - too tall and not wide enough.

Cheers

Hi Gone Bush
If you could keep us informed on how it performs when it arrives that would be great. I also have a HN 5, they are great, but there are times when that shade would be helpful.

Cheers

I didn't even see one from Hema.

Is it a listed accessory?

OK, I can see it now.

It certainly looks bulky. What's that stuff on the top???

Hi

It says its a universal sun shade - so Im guessing the "stuff" at the top is how you adjust it to varying widths.

Howdy Gonebush, I bought the exact same model but from a different seller about 4 months ago. Works great. Does't vibrate off at all. As you say it could be a bit larger but it is good value IMO.

Cheers

Peter

PS. I am using it on a generic 5' gps off of ebay, fits perfect.
