I have torn the fly on my Oztrail tent. the repair kit comes with spare nylon to cover the hole and glue. however the miserable little tube of glue has run out without being able to cover the patch.

What would be a suitable glue to use to finish the patch?

Any ideas appreciated

Try Loctite 424. Use minimally and DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR FINGERS.

Shoo Goo is good. You can get it at sports shoe shops. Really designed to patch soles of shoes. Sticks to just about anything and stays flexible. Starts as clear but after prolonged use, eventually yellows a bit in colour. I have repaired canvas tents and nylon raincoats with it, so should be OK for a nylon tent

Seam Grip might work, but isn't cheap
