Hi all, i am looking for advice on whether a caravan cover rubs on the surface of a caravan and does any damage to the van ?? I have done a search of the forum and have not found the answer to the question so i am hoping that some one out there in ExplorOz land can assist me. The reason I ask this question is that I have just purchased a new Van and will be using a storage facility.

G/Day

I recently was reading a similar enquiry on the Caravan & Motorhome Forum, they said that they put Cling Wrap on the caravan windows to protect them from scratching, before they put the Cover on the van, also there is a trick to putting the cover on, apparently they turn the cover inside out and let it unfold over the van,
I would be more worried about how they park the vans at the Storage Facility, is there space between the vans to get access to put the cover on in the first place, and make sure what type of Insurance Cover they have as well as your own insurance.

Cheers

Hi
I use a full cover on my van and have not had any trouble with any sort of scratching. It keeps sap and bird droppings etc off very well.
The cover itself was quite expensive (around $400 to suit a 24foot van) but it has been great. Follow the makers instructions when putting it on and tighten it up so it doesn't flap around. Well worth the money.
