Has any body done the Bridle track from Bathurst to Hill End (NSW)l ately, and

what is it like to do with a camper trailer, specially the last 20 Km to Hill End,

I under stand the last 20Km. is very narrow, and could come across another car

and have to reverse on a windy/cliff road.

And second where are the best lo cost/free camping spots.

Any info thanks

Apparently the Bridle Track is closed due to a landslide.

Might pay to check with the local council

Cheers,

Bridle Track is never good for campers or camper trailers.

They aren't allowed with good reason. You may see some, but they're berks.

Go in via Sofala.

Our club were up there two weeks ago. Its closed by a rock that looks like it is Gibralters big brother. The rock is at Monohans Bluff. You can drive along th track to near the rock and then go back. But its not a through road and wont be for quite a while. Dont try to drive right up to the rock as you cannot turn around where it is. Its too narrow. Just obey the signs.

Lovely neck of the woods and the Village Camping area in Hill End is a bit hard to handle with hot showers (coin needed) and free electric bbq and running hot water for washing up. I am joking of course. Top cam ground and only $7 per head.

Enjoy

Phil
