NatMap 1:100K

I see that Natmap's 1:100k series maps are available on DVD. Has anyone looked at these and how much more detail they provide over the 1:250k maps? I already have the West Coast and South coast of WA at 1:100k produced by Perth Map Centre, but these are very old maps. Are these Natmaps more recent? I use them on a PDA running OziCE.

Interested to have any comments.

Hi

The Natmap's 1:100k mosaic you speak of are of the same currency (age) as the West Coast and South Coast ones from the PMC (and other retailers). Image quality is however a bit poor as they have chosen to squeeze all the maps onto two discs...but then you have Australia wide coverage (excluding areas where 100k maps are not available - in which case they use 250K maps to fill the mosaic).

So..if you are just chasing maps of the area covered by the West Coast and South Coast DVDs there is no point in getting the Natmap disc but if you are heading outside this area they are possibly worth getting.

Cheers

I've just bought these and they have considerably more detail than the 250000 maps plus they are much easier to to read, at only $40 you can't really go wrong.

Thank you for info. Agree that for $40 it looks like a good buy.
