Just got a few quotes and its interesting that my current insurer
views the aftermarket turbo as an accessory and others as a modification that dramatically increases the insurance.
Just got another quote From B/direct and I ticked yes to "is the vehicle modified" and expected it to ask all sorts of questions but that was it. The quote came in still cheap and in the details it states the vehicle is modified. First time I've seen insurers do that and not charge a fortune for it.

Call me old fashioned, but in the case of something as important as insurance, I would rather deal with a company that has an bricks & mortar office front.

I am staying with my current but only because I have been with them a while. Driving 30 years and never been at fault in an accident so I cant see that i will ever claim but who knows having said that I have seen the big companies shaft people just as much do a search on the net.

Most people that get "shafted" by insurance companies are victims of either their own ignorance or deceit.
