Hi I have an off road caravan with 265/75R16 tyres and I am having trouble finding a wheel clamp than fits the tyre size. The Klamp Brand doesn't fit the wheel because there is not enough space between the tyre and the chassis. Any suggestions please.

Hello Pary01....this is what I have done....worked for me many years now and I also have a hitch lock as
well.....and the van sits on 4 stands as
well with the handbrake off.......as you can see, even if it fell of the stands the steel rope slings will prevent it from moving too far as they are threaded through the spokes and springs as
well.

I guess if they wanted it bad enough it would not matter what I did.

Redbakk.
3 seconds with bolt cutters and your lock is off, it must be a heavier lock than that ,with a shroud over it, cheers mate, bill.

That’s good enough to stop the amateurs and opportunists.
If a pro wants it, it doesn't matter what you fit.
I carry a cheap 300 watt inverter and a little 4 inch grinder and that will go through anything you care to fit.

Of course you are all right.......it would be gone in seconds, if they were pro's BUT because my van sits on stands to keep the tyres good and some drunk or naughty youths wanted to push it off and watch it roll away.....it won't because of the way I have threaded the slings through......that's it's primary purpose.
By the way....those little slings.....they were used to restrain the 2800XP shovel cables in place on reels....they are tougher than you think....a grinder or gas axe is required to cut them....you will wreck your bolt cutters if you try to cut them.

Thank you for your response, as you say its only a deterrent if they want it they will get it. I have the hitch locked of and have found a makeshift wheel clamp so ok at the moment but will keep looking
Cheers

You could just
park it illegally in most council areas, and the local council will donate a shiny yellow wheel clamp - guaranteed to fit! :)
