Any one stayed at this C/P if so what is it like,trying to meet up with a mate over the summer for the week end.cheers GREENDOG

Sounds like you're talking about Gemini Downs.
Haven't stayed there for about 20 years, but it was a favourite place for our Coorong Holidays when the kids were little. Used to camp in a big open area and it was fine back then. I have no idea what its like these days.

I had a look at their website - they are still there and from the aerial photo, it hasn't changed much, so should be fine. You use to be able to cross the highway and access part of the Coorong on their property - we use to launch a canoe from there

Stayed at the 40 mile crossing early this year it was fine drove beach to Salt Creek which is about 10/11 ks west of 40 mile cheers

HI GREENDOG
40 MILE CROSSING is about 10/12 k's south of Salt Creek on the Princes Hwy .
Turn off coordinates 36'22.704'S 139'46.833'E
Once you are in camp it is only a short drive over dunes to beach by 4x4.
There is a sign on the right hand side going from Salt Creek.
