Hi all
Just returned from a short trip to
William Creek. We went up through
Roxby Downs and returned through
Marree and the
Flinders Ranges. We flew over Lake Eyre and
the Painted Hills. The lake was really good but I thought that
the Painted Hills even better. Left
William Creek on Tuesday so we got through before the roads were again closed.
Well worth the drive
Ron

G'day Ron
We did the same a couple of years ago, and I agree with what you say. We've done bits of the
Oodnadatta Track a couple of times, and each time you see more and wish you had allocated more time.
Cheers
John

Personally I think flying over Lake Eyre is
well & truly over rated.
It has been flogged to death by the media trying to grab a headline.
Flying to Lake Eyre & back was amazing. I did it in 2000 & the
sand dunes & all the
water between them with the contrasts of the green & red blew me away.
It is a shame the media focuses attention on so few of the amazing features of Australia. We realy are let down by them.
