Hi All,
Some buddies and I that live between Mackay and
Brisbane are planning an
Easter camping trip and decided if we pick somewhere around half way will be convenient for everyone to drive.
So I have been looking around Town of 1770,
Gladstone area, the map shows a couple of options like Agnes Waters, Turkey Beach but I really don't know the area.
We are just looking for some good
camping area, nice river for fishing, some 4wd'ing, don't need any amenities we just want to rough it, can anyone suggest any good country around that area?
Cheers

Hi,
There is no
camping in the town of Turkey Beach. There are spots via bush tracks that the locals know but you may get lost if I try to explain them to you.
There are several
camping spots around Agnes, ie Eurinmula NP north of Agnes, Caravan parks in Agnes and 1770 (both on the
water) Workmans
beach camp ground and
Deepwater NP just South of Agnes.

Hop on to the National Parks website for info on Eurimbula and Deepwater,
Cheers
