Hi All,
I am about to mount an Anderson plug on the back of a GU to connect to an aux battery in the trailer and was wondering where people have mounted theirs. The trailer plug is mounted to the rear surface of the tow bar and I was thinking of using the same area but that would mean mounting it
well right of centre and then turning may pull the plug out. So where have others mounted theirs? A pic would be great, and if you cant display them here maybe email them to me please. My email addy is behind my rig pic.
Thanx for your help.
Bonz

Not sure about Patrols but the anderson plug holders let you mout them just about anywhere.
ARB has the too.

I put one of those covers on. Mounted on top of a plate on the towbar. The door doesn't seal when closed, there's an opening where the spring is, so the plug still filled up with dirt.
I wasn't using the door to hold the plug in, but the door broke off anyway in the first 1000km of dirt.
Not worth the money IMHO

G'day Bonz,
I've mounted one under the aluminium step on my patrol. Screwed and glued. Hopefully the picture shows the location.
Cheers,
Paul.

Mine is in a similar spot although on the opposite side and closer to the tow bar.
Hopefully we will see you at the pair of knees

Why don't you say install instead of mounting as mounting has other conenations and you could hurt yourself.

GDAY bonz
They should be mounted above
water level , so you should mount it on the roof.
