A couple of years ago we were passing through
Renmark in SA's Riverland and I did some shopping at a place called Yates Mensware. It was your typical family run store with good prices and country service.
I bought a few pairs of jocks and the owner said that when I wanted more, I could order them from their website on-line.
I can remember thinking that was progressive for such a business at the time.
A few weeks ago I found the card in my jocks drawer and decided it was time to buy some more. I rang them and ordered 14 more pairs of the same (in two different colours just to keep it exciting).
Today, they rang me to apologise for taking longer than they had hoped to fill my order. The problem was that they had to order more of one of the colours. They will be in the post tomorrow plus a free pair of socks to compensate for the delay. The lady even asked what size my feet were so she could give me the right size.
I live in
Adelaide and would rather
shop in a business like this any day. Also supporting a business in a community that is being stressed by the environment (recent drought) and political system (emerging
water policy).
Before anyone asks, I don't live in the Riverland, I don't have any connection with the business and am not in a political party.

Gidday Des. Once upon a time before the world went mad, thongs as you call them, used be compulsory safety footwear, along with the stubbie shorts and blue chesty bond singlet, for all truckies, "and then some 4WD blokes followed suit."
Now look at what truckies gotta wear, all them pretty fluro's and steelcaps :-((
Sheeesh.

Hi skulldog and guzzi,
Yep totally agree. I always ask for anything but red for Hubby!, I hate red & hubby hates shopping, but as you say........ Good customer service is worth the rap. Good on yah for complimenting them. I wouldn't buy pink or white for him either!, he'd strangle me with them. LOL.
P.S.(for the loving patient wives). I get sick of spending my shopping time shopping for him and being told off for taking so long doing my shopping! Don't ya love em!? Yeh!, most of the time.
Take care, safe travels.
Bye, Ma.

Geez Skull
I glanced over your Post fairly quickly, and where it stated,
They will be in the post tomorrow plus a free pair of **Socks**, I thought it read a free pair of Jocks, and I was wondering why she wanted your feet size for? maybe they had small leg holes in the jocks or some thing, see it pays to read thing more carefully otherwise one can really put his foot in it lol lol.
PS, All jokes aside great customer service.
Cheers

Ha!,
Last time I went to the dentist he asked what my foot size was. I'm starting to see a pattern.
