Hi guys,

I'm hoping that someone will know what the problem is and how to fix it.
Every time I go to check out my "watched threads" I get the following error - it's happened for a couple of weeks now and I've not changed any settings on my browser (firefox).

=== error ===

Server Error in '/' Application.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

now as I cannot watch this thread to keep an eye on it's replies - if someone has a fix can they just message or email me (details in my profile) please?

if it is a server error is there a time frame for it's being fixed?

Hopefully it's not a big problem.

Cheers,
Simon

It's a software database error via Microsoft .Net so you will need an answer from the administrators of this site.

Michael and David are aware of the error,
Hopefully they can nut it out.
A work around for the moment would be to copy and paste the the thread ID into a Text doc with the threads topic, and then copy & paste the ID No back into the thread search when you want to recall it.
But if you have selected to watch the thread you will still be sent an email if a reply comes along.
Cheers

A brain fade on my part that one - I have been so locked away in the mapping system and updates for User Treks that I forgot about this issue. I have resolved it.

Hi David,

Yeah, seems to have done something different, clicking the Watched Threads thing now shows me 20 threads which aren't the ones I was watching..
It's definitely a novelty ;)

Glad it's been remembered again.

Cheers,
Simon

Simon,

I logged in as you to test it and tranfered my WatchList to you by accident.

I have just restored it to yours but to ensure it does not get overwritten again please just close your browser ad connect again this will ensure you do not write back my list to your profile. You have 7 in your list.

DM,

All appears to be back in tip-top shape.
Many thanks for all your efforts..

Don't suppose you want to fix some coding problems on my site? ;)

Anyway, cheers for your help, all's good with the world again.

Hi David,
When i go to my home page and to edit my profile, click edit my email add, i get a "whats new" page on the left and the "exploroz membership" on the right side of the page. I need to change my email add but the wrong page appears..

Thanks Michael
