Watched the first episode last week (airing Thurs. ch.10 8pm).
Had to wonder at the "toys" Mr. Jones has at his disposal and how some of the station revenue is raised using them.
It ended with the new helicopter pilot driving off in a bulldozer?
This week we see the same helicopter pilot copping a serve from the boss whilst hanging off a cherry picker.
Looking very inexperienced he is lopping a tree in danger of falling on the house roof.
I thought he was a helicopter pilot, obviously not yet.
Then after seeing and hearing the 4 year old from hell on the pony I had had enough and switched off.
With some background of working on a properties this program to me is completely out of whack with how station life actually is.
I wonder how other forumites viewed the program.

I saw part of last night's episode.
I couldn't help wondering why boof head
Milton didn't show the
young bloke how to correctly manage the chainsaw at height, rather than just yell and swear at him. What happened to his duty as an employer ensuring correct training and use of equipment?
I was wondering what his workers comp insurer would think of the footage. Oh............it's a telly programme so it must be ok!........NOT!
Even my 13 yr old said why doesn't he show him how to do it properly. He could tell that the
young bloke had no idea and that it was a dangerous thing to be up high with a chainsaw.
Won't bother watching again.

Hmmm ..... like drop starting, a definite no no in the
work place, I know we all do it, but not in the workplace.

When you're 10metres up in the air in a cherrypicker box, there's no room to start ANY chainsaw, not even the little arborist saws with a top handle.
In that case, the safest thing to do is drop start it over the side.
In that instance, drop starting is recognized as a safe work practice.
Disco.
