Well I have been away for sometime, amazing what work and other commitments will do. I'm sure the usual Toyota V Nissen and whats the best tyre are still being tossed into the fray.

Other than that what have I missed?

Anyway I'm back on the site and am off to Darwin this Tuesday. Not the perfect time of the year but birth of a granddaughter forced our hand so to speck. I have requested for any more to be in the run off so one can get a bit of fishing in :)

Now having not driven this run before and considering the wife has decided to do the drive I have to make this as comfortable as I can so no tenting is allowed (bugger).

Going via Morvan, Longreach, Mt Isa etc. So anyone know of good places to stay, I know I can look up RACQ or books for this sort of thing done that before and some of the places where less than fair to be honest.

At this stage I am looking at Morvan for the first night and if memory does not fail me the pub will be the place to stay or is there anywhere else? Considering Longreach the next so I can see the stockmans hall of fame of course we might just continue on to Cloncurry or Mt Isa.

Of course if anyone sees me on the road say hi I will be in my Rodeo Ute just cruisin.

Any help most welcome and thanks in advance

Brian
