G'day all ,
The windsreen on my GU Patrol needs to be replaced. It has a Safari snorkel fitted.
Does the snorkel need to be removed to fit the new windscreen, if so how do I go about removing it.
Cheers Pete.

Hey Pete,
No you don't need to remove the snorkel if it's a standard safari fitment.

Out of interest, if you ever do want to remove it you need to remove the screws from the 'A' pillar bracket. Remove the inner wheel arch, undo the nuts inside the gaurd that hold the snorkel on (six of them from memory) and remove the airduct from the snorkel to in the inlet into the engine bay. not too difficult, just fiddely.

Cheers, Dan

Same, No you don't have to remove it....I had mine replaced with the snorkel in place. Although the fella from a Major windsceen replacement co. had a bit of a whinge when he saw I had a snorkel. He told me to let them know when you book the job.
