Hi,
Trying to make the choice on a 60th Anniversary 200 Series.
Undecided between the Crystal Pearl (white) vs the Graphite (Dark
Grey).
Has anyone seen or have pics of a Crystal Pearl 200 Series fitted with a black (or metallic black) bullbar?
The white Sahara's are the crystal pearl, so one of them with a black bullbar and / or rails would be great.
Have a 100 series in plain white with black bar work which looks good, but unsure if the crystal pearl will have the same effect due to its slightly off white / satin finish.
I'll be fitting a black
snorkel, roofrack etc, so I don't want a white bar.
Can't believe I'm worried about the looks, but when your paying out so many $$$ I don't want any regrets.
ta'
Garry

When you read whats in and whats left out of sales brochures I am sure looks and image sell more cars than performance Garry.
A month ago I had same choice with a new patrol - and to be sure the white pearl colour looked a little better (sort of less harsh) and worked
well with the black bars.
But the whole car comes colour coded , mudguards etc the same as body colour , so I know
mine is going to get scratched so I stuck with plain white it will be easier to touch up.
The grey/silver was to accident prone a colour for me - not sure about 200 series.

hi garry
imho i would not buy a pearl or iridescent colour if your going bush as one scratch on any panel and you cant touch it up
the whole panel has to be repainted give me a straight colour any time for bush driving
but then your buying it not me

I would not buy any vehicle that is a similar colour to the black top, to hard for others to see. The pearl is stunning.
Cheers Pete

Why not color code the bar? This is pearl white. (look past the bulldust.)

Dunaruna, The colour coded bar looks very "flash". Makes the bar appear part of the vehicle rather than a accessory.
Cheers

G'day garry. On a warm sunny day go to any car yard or
park and find a white vehicle parked beside a dark one. Put your hand on both and see which one you can leave it on the longest. Guarantee it will be the white one. lol. Bob

Thanks everyone.
Whilst plain white would be my pick, given its not an option in the 60th anniversay model, I'm leaning towards the Crystal Peal for practicality compared to Graphite, which I think looks better.
Still haven't seen a black bar and side rails on one though, but given it normally works on white it should look ok.
With regards to the colour coded Peal bars how do they go with stone chips? I imagine they will chip black and over a short space of time start to look a bit average. Also concerned that if side rails are added it may just become too much white.
White = cooler, safer, less maintenance but remembering it will still be a pain being a pearl finish.
Graphite = warmer, potentially unsafer, more maintenance, but will look better (IMHO) and will be a change from the multitude of plain white Toyotas I've owned.
60% white 40% Graphite at this stage.....

I'd be happy with any colour 200 series, i wouldnt even need a drivers window, i would have my head hanging out the window listening to the exhaust, the car doesnt even need a radio, there is no song or music that sounds as good as that engine lol.
