I'm assuming this is in Victoria?

Hope no one was in the vehicle when it went over.

I dont really get it!!

This is the rock slide at Monaghans bluff on the bridle track?
So some clown decides he can drive around it?

That whole mountain side is sedimentary rock, like plates that slide over each other.

So why try the impossible impassable?

I hope his headache is improving.

maybe it was a stolen vehicle driven over the edge on purpose?
an old quarry i used to wheel at in Brisbane many years ago, was well known for the stolen cars sitting in the water below. theives used to sit a brick on the accelerator and launch them off the cliff, you could see them lined up down the hill there were so many there.

Barry

Our local Bathurst newspaper ran a story on this today. It appears that the road will be closed indefinitely. See link below:

http://www.westernadvocate.com.au/news/local/news/general/track-winds-back-to-a-road-to-nowhere/1979474.aspx?storypage=0

You can still access the campsites from the Bathurst end of the Bridle Track.
