Help - dulling an Aluminium Tinny

Cemtech CT12 (the pink one) wipe a bit onto the wet surface and wash off after about 20 secs or until it works to your liking. If you pour it on it will leave run stains of really clean but flat alloy so do a bit at a time. Auto parts stores and maybe BigW will have it.

Tour boy is correct but let it dry and do not wash off. It will send it even duller still.

Make sure you wear rubber gloves. Nasty stuff this is.

Go with the boat carpet Wilco, just in case you drop a sinker or stubbie :-))) that way all them cod won't vanish upstream, and keeps the inside of the boat much cooler. I used to also glue some to the seats....keeps the freckle nice cool on the hot alloy.

the carpet is definitely the way to go, the marine or weatherproof carpet is the way to go.It brings the temp in the boat down, dulls any noise of things hitting the floor and if the floor gets a bit wet it's not slippery to stand on. Also when you pull that big fish in to measure him or take some pics ,you can splash some water on the carpet and you are not likely to cook one side of him. And last but not least if your wearing shorts ,the reflection from the shiny floor can give you a nice bit of sunburn on the back of your legs. OUCH !!!

I put marine carpet in my bigger boat and it works well (quieter ect) but my lttle tinny is a car topper .

the front of my tinny has the carpet glued on, to make a casting platform, so no need to add much weight, but the ideas of products that others have provided sound quick and easy.

I second the carpet. Not only does it stop the glare it is easier on your feet, stuff doesn't slide around inside and in my tinnie it quietens the water slap.
