Does this even include Australian Vehicles???

Aust Gov Recall list for Nissan

The only Aust Vehicle Nissan has recalled as per the Aust Gov Recall List is the X Trail and that was issued yesterday.

Cheers Kev

221,000kms on your GU did you day..? Wow, there's people in these forums whinging that their 80 Series Landcruisers only got 550,000 to 600,000kms..!
In all seriousness Nissan make a great product, they have a bad reputation for some of the 3.0L TD's and they way they handled the issue.

Yep agree but for the most part they were no more trouble free Kms than the vast majority of patrols. My GU 2.8 had 340000 trouble free kms when I sold it.....to move onto something newer not because I lost faith in it. There sure were some problems with the 3 ltr but time moves on.....this is not something that hasn't happened with other marques at some time in their history - and probably not handled any better than Nissan handled this issue. No manufacturer will give anymore than they absolutely have to and that is why we desperately need 'Lemon' laws enacted in this country IMHO.

Sorry Guys didn't want to start a row, just was stating a fact. Yes i totally agree. They do build some good ones. But aren't my kettle of fish.

that's probaly why i am driving a 1982 hilux. well rebuilding it, back to bullet proof, or close to.

The way I read it; that recall has nothing to do with the 3 litre ZD30 issue.

Mal

Now happy as .... with my D-MAX .....

D-Max..! Give us a post here when you start to MAX out on your KM's, will be interested to see how they stand the test of time, only because they haven't been around long yet.

terrafirma

I take it you just posted that to get a rise. You really don't know the history of this vehicle if you are serious .....

Plse read my comments Mal, simply stating Dmax has no long term history, nothing other than that, with an invite to report how you go after doing x amount of Km's. Hope that is clearer for you?
