Try the Australian and World
Heritage section of the Dept of Environment and
Heritage on 02 6274 2111 (ask for Joanne). They may also be on the gov website.

Jade,
The Rock is called Uluru (Ayers
Rock) and the township is called
Yulara.
Yulara is a tourist village, some 20km from Uluru and would not be there if it were not for the Uluru and the Olgas. There was the old Ayers
Rock village at the base of Uluru, which is now the site of Mutitjulu Aboriginal & Park Rangers Village.
Check out the website below, also do a search on the names and you will get quite a lot of info.
Hope this helps & goodluck.
