Hi all,

Currently planning our next trip, after our simpson desert/mereenie loop trip this year. The car worked well, and we had an awesome trip, and now ive started to plan for the next adventure.

Wanted to know what is involved in swapping the current back end set up on the Bravo (currently a factory tub with a TJM tourertop canopy) and having a tray installed.

Can anyone tell me what the process would be? Any hard issues?

Also, is it not too abnormal to have a tray built that is almost as narrow as the cab? without the side overhang?

Cheers.

I have done what you are planning with a Hilux, basically there are 6 bolts holding your tub on to remove, you will need to disconnect the taillight wiring loom plug plus disconnect the cable that works your fuel cap filler cover flap.
I would expect that yours would be of a similar nature.

It is a very simple process that I think you will find most tray manufacturer / installers would be used to doing.
Like wse I am sure they will make a narrower tray for you as well but unless you have a particular reason I would take advantage of the extra floorspace.
