Hi there, Gee, the south coast and the majority of the east coast has been soaked and rain predicted for the entire week and into next week, so it could be very wet,, Michael

Tracks are in good condition but as already said lots of rain in the area. Might be best to delay a week or two subject to weather.

Hi Tonkatuff, go for your drive. We've done the Merricumbene in fog, snow and with trees down. A liitle bit of rain -30mm to 9 am today at Bendethera won't stop you. See pix in Places for the muddy patch at the bottom of the hill east of Bendethera valley. It's what you've got a 4WD for.....enjoy.....W

Also why National Parks keep threatening to close access when it all gets chopped up by those who "own" a 4wd must drive through the mud. Tread Softly as we all may want to visit there one day.
Wait till the tracks dry out a bit and the grass on the valley floor is solid enough so you can enjoy the camping and the trip and not spend your time bogged or covered in mud; that is what we own a 4wd for the ability to access these areas to enjoy not destroy!
