Googs Track

Has anyone any thoughts of travelling Googs track in December?
Planning to go there this Christmas, it's my only chance of holidays.
I'm all set up for this type of driving.

Gary,

it will be bloody hot but I guess you know that. Do they shut the track during the height of summer? It might pay to check with the parks office at Ceduna in respect to this.

Great neck of the woods but you will have to allow for the possibility of extreme temperatures by carrying extra water. I presume you're not towing?

Cheers Mick

Hey Mick,
Yeh been a lot of places this time of year.Cameron Corner 50C, Innaminka 45C
Great Central mid 40's, Coober Pedy etc. Safety is always first, good comms, plently fuel and water and spares. Haven't read of any closures but this could always happen. I will check before travelling.
Cheers Gary
