Hi,

Would like to hear peoples opinions/experiences with the Powerful 4x4 3/4 roof racks for a Nissan Patrol (regularly advertised in 4WD Action). I am considering purchasing one and would like 'product reviews'

Thanks

Hi GU
I purchased a full length, 8 leg roof rack from them for my 80 series. They are well made and very strong. Pretty well identical to the ARB rack. The only problem with it was the paint or is it powdercoat? is very thin in places and starts to rust very quickly. I just spayed the thin parts with Killrust and also sprayed with rust proofing and had no trouble. Being half the cost of an ARB I think they are good value.

I've seen quite a few on customers' vehicles and I am impressed, particularly at the price. All feedback from the customers is very positive.

G'day there,

Have the full length on the 105. As per above comments, good rack, nice and strong (plenty of dents and gouges) and was a lot cheaper than all other competition. Bit unhappy with the powder coat on the mounting arms/brackets, 4 of the 6 are badly flaking, can't complain because this may be due to heavy use... For the price I'm happy and being steel, I can repair easily if something breaks.

BTW, the rack is slightly taller than the ARB item so their wind deflector won't fit (just saying), and Powerful still doesn't have one, though they said it was something they were looking into when I purchased my rack 3 years ago.

Cheers,

Ross.
