Thanks to all....another question...this time on mail

First let me say thanks to everyone on this site - the information I've received from the questions I've asked, or info I have copied and pasted into my notes from other threads has been really valuable. I'm pleased to say that we're just 10 days out of Adelaide into a year long trip and loving the Darling River Run just now.

I need to have some mail forwarded to us already, however I would like to ask the question about mail etiquette. When travelling, do you normally contact the post office you will have some mail directed to before you get it sent there to give them a heads up that something is on it's way or there's no need to do that? If you do contact them, do you need to have the envelope/package addressed in any special way to show that the recipient is travelling?
