Hi everyone just finished building an overhead shelf for my 78 series troopy, have fitted my new radio but now want to fit a dual map light to the underside of the shelf in the center between the visors similar to the 'outback' shelf light assembly but I'm buggered if I can find anything like it or anyone who sells them on the net! can anyone help me out here? someone must make them, I would prefer led lamps but I'm getting desperate!
Cheers Killer

I did exacty as what you did and wanted to know how to add lights to the console.Go to any ARB
shop that sells the overhead consoles an you will find they come with the duel led lighting atached. You can buy the lght separately( About $50).It is an excellent light and very easy to wire up.Hope this helps.

G'day Muntoo,
I have just joined LCOOL and found it quite painless. Filled in the relevant bits and was able to access the site about an hour later.
Am not able to comment on its value or otherwise yet, but I guess I will get out what I put in..
Cheers
Michael

Hi Muntoo. They are Halogen lights, not LED. I have them in a van and they are "OK" but would prefer LED also as they use a lot less power. Bob.
