Does anyone know if these chargers (Ctec d250s in particular) cause any interference in am/fm radios in vehicles whilst they (both charger & radio) are operating.

Ian I'm running both the Redarc BCDC under the bonnet and the BMS (Battery Management system with AC/DC, DCDC and MPPTSolar capability) in the back pod of the ute. No interference with AM/FM or UHF.
Cheers Mick

I am running a Ranox 12v to 12v charger inside the body of the Landcruiser without any interference to AM which is normally quite susceptible to interference. The Ranox charges the second battery and also the Karavan batteries. You would have thought there is enough around the front of the car for that, particularly with a Windows CE board in the radio box for my VMS, but it is only distant or outback radio that causes trouble.
What is the quality of your antenna like?

I have the d250s dual and haven't noticed any interference.

Hi Ian,
I have a waeco 50 in the rear of the wagon with a 120Ah agm battery alongside. The d250s dual is mounted in one of the side pockets next to the fridge & battery. There are 2 x 50watt solar panels on the roof rack. It's not been setup long but i'm happy with it so far. I wouldn't have bothered with the d250s (without the "dual"). If i didn't already have the solar panels i probably would have gone with a simple battery isolator to do the job, but because the Dual has the inbuilt solar regulator i thought i may as
well be using the panels. I will be using a second d250s dual in the camper trailer (when it's built) along with 2 x 100Ah batteries and 2 x 90watt solar panels.
Cheers Tony.
