I had a perfectly working Winegard when at
Erldunda and other
places up the centre. It has the amp in the socket in the wall and picked up horizontal channels perfectly everywhere.
In fact at Lane Cove we had to drop it down because it was getting too much signal.
We thought we had a problem till the guy parked next door told us what to do.
We now have a new van which did have a probem when we got it and it has been fixed and works Ok on horizontal but not on vertical.
There was a thread on here that suggested pullin a pin out of one of the legs to drop the antenna to a vertical position would enable it to work.
Others in the
park at
Erldunda also couldnt get reception and the only one who could had a happy wanderer that could be changed to vertical
If it as you say why do
places have vertical and not just alter the frequencies or whatever.
I am not an expert but am talking from actual experience of trying for several hours to get a signal.
IF you know what to do share it with us cos Im sure a lot would benefit from the knowledge.
