Having decided to renew my
membership by buying two of these books from the
EO
shop, I thought someone may be interested in a review...
It's a thumbs up from me...good value. Many of you have the Camps Australia
Wide books, & I believe this is a quality adjunct to that series, or indeed a better buy if you dont have CAW. While I dont have any negative issues with CAW, it can be a bit like reading the phone book, whereas this one gives a good
description of each site, with all facilities noted & good concise directions. It
leans towards the National Parks & forests a lot which is good, but does not go
into
parking bays & rest areas that much. It includes a full Atlas & detailed area maps, as
well as contact phone numbers & some GPS points. I suspect
mine will join the mass of stuff I carry around Oz when
camping as it is easy to read &
good value at under $40. I bought with the idea of giving as gifts if not up to
my standard but am happy to report I will keep one & BIL will score the other
for Christmas. Its a very nice gift for the traveller. cheers....oldbaz.

Good on you OIldBaz, and thanks for purchasing and posting the review. How does it compare with numbers of camps listed? Is this similar to CAW?

Hi Motherhen, this one says 2500 sites & my CAW says 3000. I suggest the difference is mainly roadsite rest stops & such in CAW. These are not, strictly speaking,
camp spots. The book is of similar size but easier to read, with better
directions & more info on each site. Both are good
tools but I favour this one.
cheers...oldbaz.

Great OldBaz we thought it was a good product also. Can you please do us a favor and add a ratingcomment in the actual item please just visit the product at
Camping Around Australia and rate the product and add the text - thanks. This way the review will stay with the item, we do not have a way of linking this
forum thread to the product.

G'day Team, happy to do that. I wasnt aware of the option to rate products,
but consider this one very worthy. Keep up the good work....oldbaz.
