Hi,
i'm looking into buying a Coromal F400 camper or a Jayco Outback (exact model still to be defined.)
Anyone got any good tips as to which, and why?
Also, the Coromal comes with Electirc brakes. Does anyone know if I need to install anything in my 2007 X-Trail to utilise the electric brakes?
thanks in advance!

With either one you'll need an electric Brake Controller.
Heaps of em around, talk to your caravan provider. There are some newer ones out now that have a remote control head, otherwise they are chunky things and are generally mounted externally under the dash near the steering column and can get in the way. If you get one with a remote head unit they fit into the dash with the main box tucked away up under the dash out of the way.
Either one of the vans will do the job for you, just go with your personal preference.

Hi,
There was a post a few months ago similar to this. I answered it by member message as I didn't want to say the wrong thing on E.O.
You don't appear to be a member but one of these brands isn't very
well made.
It's very popular, but when out & about we hear lots of complaints about things not fitting back together & catches falling off.
We're wanting to upgrade from canvas but we're looking at second hand Trakmaster or Supreme Getaway in the smaller ones.
Take care, safe travels.
Bye Ma.

I have previously opened up another can of worms on this
forum on the very subject, one brand isnt particularly
well made, I owned a family series last year for all of a month, we loved it, until I saw the coromal pioneer silhouette, we traded the new van in on another one, we are soooo very happy with it, we were happy with the F400 family series, but I am the type of person when I see something I have to have it, we owned the family series so it wasn't a problem to upgrade, coromal are great, we tow the van behind a 2010 holden colorado, you don't even know it is on the back, the indepenant
suspension makes a huge difference.
Good luck, hope you make the right decision!!!
