Mate throw it on a 3 stage charger for a full day, or a bettery charger for a day.

Then see what happens. put it back in your vehicle, or take it to your friendly auto sparky and get him to test it with his load tester, and make sure you take the vehicle with you so the auto sparky can test for anything that might drain your battery.

if it is a new battery, you might be lucky for warranty claim.

Why did it go flat? A new battery should be OK if charged again. Been there done that and got years out of the new battery.

But you need to answer the question of why it went flat in the first place.

If your vehicle has a remote for the alarm/doors and you have a wireless enegry moniter in the house, that could be your problem - it was with our Rangie. The wireless energy moniter would trigger the remote sensor in the vehicle and it would be turned on drawing amps while waiting for the unlock/lock code from the remote to come that never came. Took a few days to find.

Even new batteries can be faulty. I'd take it back to where you got it from, have them charge it, then load test it. That way they can see for themselves if it is stuffed.

If the battery is OK. Disconnect your negative battery terminal and place an inline amp metre between your negative battery terminal and your negative battery lead. Measure the parasitic load with all accessories off. As mentioned, even a dodgey alarm can drain your battery in a couple of days.

Good luck. Fab.

did anybody check the charge rate of your alternator before putting the new battery in?
if not this can sometimes be the reason the battery is flat doesnt take much to flatten batteries,ie night drives-lights radio heater/fan and other gadgets!.
