Hi Guy's,
I have a 1991 GQ Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis with leaf spring
suspension.
I am looking for an auxiliary fuel
tank that goes at the rear where the spare wheel is mounted. Does anyone know where I might get one in the
Perth metro area that is no longer required?
Thanks Geoff

hi the wreckers yrds or advertise in the quocker
but the chances of picking up a s'hand
tank thats not rusty or full of dirty rusty sludge from that vintage would be hard to find i recently looked at one for a ford /mazda that was on ebay
it was avertised as clean and in sound condition
but when i looked at it
it had rust pitts on the outside and inside looking with a powerful torch was even worse the risk of buggering up my fuel system was huge so very quickly changed my line of thinking
beware !
cheers

Gday Dave.
Sounds like you are missing something. It is a cab chassis and the spare is under the back.

Try and get a
tank from a gu I,me sure you will be able to make itfit under where the spare wheel goes.On my gu the tray is mounted a little higher and the
tank 2inches lower,a fat spare fits in there. You will also need an electric fuel pump to transfer the fuel to the main
tank.good luck.
