Hi All
I have been asked by a couple of people to show my Car Carrier Trailer. I have made a new blog, and put some photo's there, and will take some more photos incorporating more details as I get the chance.
Hope I don't have to do too many recoveries during the next traveller season, I'd much rather just meet people, have a chat, cuppa and learn about the lovely
places that people have been to.
Cheers

My sincerest apologies for people wanting to see the photo's here, but I could not upload them into the thread for some reason, so did it this way.
Have a great week.
Cheers

Hi Marc, Don't apologise, the blog is fine. Very impressive trailer, there is heaps of storage. Did you make the SS box at the front yourself?
I could not weld to save my life but have heard that stainless welding is not easy.
Regards
Mark

Hi Mark
As we all know, nothing is really that difficult with enough practice and determination. I guess being a boilermaker doesn't hurt either, but I am by no means an expert in all fields of steelwork. Yes I made the SS toolbox, but believe me when I say it took perhaps 15 attempts, and the same amounts of gentle grind backs, to get it right.
I don't know yet if it will be the one that I am building at the moment (another car carrier), or this one, but one of them will eventually go into teh trader, and that is NOT an advertisement, just a comment on what will be happening.
Cheers

Hi Pete
Thanks for doing that, for some reason my computer will not allow me to insert ppictures into threads, or open links in threads. There will be some better photos soon, as I am making a few alterations.
Have a great week
Cheers

Hi Marc,
that is a serious trailer and must have cost a small fortune to build. Your skills as a boiler maker is beyond doubt. congratulations very
well done.

Hi Barry
I have built sevral normal trailers and sold them on, that is my first car carrier, and I am doing another at the moment. The cost of materials and time I never concern mysaelf with too much when I decide they are good enough to sell.
I appreciate the comment on my boilermaking skills, I guess after nearly 30 years practice I am finally getting some things right. I do finds a lot of pleasure in makign such things, knowing that when I do eventually sell them, people are not going to have any problems. I make sure they can withstand the area that I live in, which means they could handle anything.
Have a great week.
Cheers
