Does anyone comment on fiberglass wheel arch flares.

I,m considering fitting them to my 100s series (IFS) but there are a little pricey?

Thanks

Why would you fit them There is adequate room for even wider tyres than normal.

Unless you are fitting the older deep dish rims and even then they still sit under the guards.

Anything wider only puts extra presuure on steering and suspnsion components

coMy exiting "Road" tyres 275/70/R16 are going the be replaced with Mickey Thompson 4 rib 285/75/R16 these should fit no problem from what I,ve been told. The reason I,m considering flares is not to accomodate tyres but assist to obstruct rocks etc propelled from these tyres.

Would be far better to fit the brush stuff that trucks use.

The flares being hard will only make the rocks fly off at a different angle whereas the brush blinds slow them down.

Lots of money for little if any gain
