We have decided to bite the bullet and purchase a canopy for our 2009 Nissan dual cab STR ute and I have sourced a few prices as follows:

UteMart $1745 fitted (have to wait until March next year - ordered from overseas)

ARB $1943 fitted

Genuine Nissan $2800 (trade price unfitted )

Flexiglass $1995 fitted

TJM $2085 fitted

Any preferences/comments (except Nissan ) as to which brand is better?

Any other brands which I have not considered?

Try calling wreckers might find one alot cheaper with lights and accessories from the previous owners.

I'll be looking for a canopy shortly as well, for my Navara STX D40 dual cab... I had 3XM Canopies recommended to me (made in Geebung in Brisbane I believe) but I haven't got prices yet. Might be worth a look.

Jazzy,

As a tip, while you are in the research stage, we initially had sliding windows to each side of the canopy, but after a couple of trips found that didn't work well.

We then had a lift up window fitted to the lhs, and retained the sliding window to the rhs. This now works well, and I like that set up as we can allow some ventilation to the load area when required, as well as ease of access to lhs. (Retro-fitting windows is expensive)

Our canopy is a Flexiglass, no problems to date, 5yrs and 158,000kms.

Hope this is of interest.

Rob.
