Its been one of those years - I track we take to a beach out past Cape Flattery has just not been able to dry out - Never seen it like this before. The Cape has had good rain all year so far. Thought we would try to get across anyway, this is after we turned back, the next 400m of water crossing was just not worth it :-)

hi tony, same thing happened to me in august, the smaller holes looked like big pools of red wine (tannin)
lakefield was bone dry and cape flattery was well waterlogged ,,,,we turned back as well, ended up up with headlights full of water and the intercooler got a good wash out thru the bonnet scoop

Edwin - We have made it out to Flattery each time we have tried this year and there has always been ample water in the creeks you have to cross, quite deep at times.

The photo's above are on a track that forks off the Flattery Road and heads further North. You could only go a couple of Ks and then this is what you have to cross. Considering there is deeper crossings further in... well give up was best option.

Cheers Tony
