Hi all, I'm seeking advice on a nagging issue, I have a Rhino rear-loading boatrack from a previous car and would like to mount it to a Navara D40 dual cab. Rhino don't recommend mounting it to a Navara but after a phone call to them,I was told it is possible by securing to 2 rear bars in the
well-back and resting on but not secured to a front cross bar. I have no idea how much twist there is between the cabin and
the tub(this is the reason they don't recommend mounting to dual-cabs) but if it's not too much, I was hoping to mount it as they said. Does anyone have any ideas on this or done something similar themselves

Hi Gary, I have the rhino boat loader mounted on the rear of my D40. The vehicle is for sale in the trader section of ExploreOz and you will find a photo of the vehicle with the rack there. I have used the Rack to carry a 3.75 Tinny around Aus and never had a problem. The Flexiglass Canopy is internally reinforced with two steel brackets that are adjustable and supported at
the Tub rim. I have not found it necessary for a third support over the Cab. Kevin

Hi Gary, I have the same set up as the above post, only on a 2007 fordranger, travelled around Aus and never had any problems. Roy

Thanks for the feed-back, I think I'll do it,might as
well use the rack as it's just sitting in the shed. I have a Quinnie 3.7 Traveller so there's not too much weight, just over 70kg.

Hi Gary,
We have a D40 Navara and a Rhino side boat loader which is fitted to the roof of the vehicle via 2 roof racks but not on the canopy because of the flexing between the canopy and vehicle.
I guess you have checked into the weight issue with putting the loader and boat on the canopy? Is there a limit like there is on the vehicle roof?
Sorry I cant help you with any real advice but good luck as you may find someone on the
forum who can assist.
Cheers,
heather
