Just been perusing the recently loaded Trek notes for the
Carnarvon Range (WA)
The
Rock holes Tortoise, Waterfall and
Talbot all share the identical co-ordinates.obviously a transcribing somewhere
Assume the poster will be advised or see this post and correct?

Hi Bungarra,
If you search separately in
Places you get the correct co-ords..
Cheers

Hi Allan
Cant my head around these trek notes......It doensnt add up when you read the driving descriptions..........go from
Good camp rock hole then to Beyondie Station then CSR
well 5
Maybe Blue Hills station...seems to me there is something gone so very wrong in the writing and hyper links etc
acknowledge that the locations can be found in search engine...but some tra veller less experienced might find themselves in a spot of bother if they followed this recent trek note (I know they cant because of permits but that is not the point)

It must be a new glitch because I used the downloaded trek in June heading west from the CSR and it was spot on.
A fantastic trip too - highly recommended. If it's not now closed, as the native title holders were indicating closure. There's thread on it if you do the search.
Cheers.

Must be a glitch somewhere as I was part of the crew that did this trip in 2008 with Phil and can vouch for his notes.

I thought the
Carnarvon Range was currently closed by order of the Traditional owners. Or, perhaps I missed an update on that.

carnavon ranges is now closed with the native title claim determined. The indications are that it will be opened to the public again once some details are sorted. One of the popular campsites was on a significant site and an alternative track has already been put in to avoid this spot by the Martu people.
