G/day all,,
I am thinking of getting a Towing Load Indicator , for the van ,
mainly to use when loading the van befor a trip, as our Jayco has a front kitchen , and the missus gets a bit carried away with the food supply,
Has anyone tried one of these,??? would like to hear from anyone who may of used one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, cheers flatty

No idea what they are Flatty, but everything over the bathroom scales when packing may achieve the same? I too have a front kitchen, but the fridge and the areas i choose to store the food are over the
wheels. Only lighter stuff including pots and pans, plates and cutlery (all light weight products) go in the front cupboards. The area inside the caravan is not huge, so my caravan pantry is far closer to my reach than
my home pantry.
Otherwise you could check your towball weight on a weigh bridge when loaded up (weighing van attached then detached).

A towing load indicator if its the one on the hitch will only give you towball weight and not stop you from grossy overloading your van.
As Motherhen says Take it to a weighbridge and then figure out what you need to leave behind.
Dont forget to fill
water tanks befor you go as they are part of the load
Remember also that the ball weight is part of the tugs allowable load.
