Hi all! I've spent many an hour reading the
forum but haven't posted before.
My husband and I are keen to spend some time over the new year period at Coolah Tops NP, hopefully accompanied by a few friends. While I'll be having a chat with the parks office when they're back in next week but wondered if anyone round here had any experience staying in the
park at this time of the year. I know that it's not a quiet time of the year but I'm interested in what sorts of crowds the
park does get at this time of the year but really any feedback is gratefully received!
Cheers
Anna

Been there a few times, the only time overnight was in mid January 3 years ago. I think we were the only group at the old Forestry
camp and there was only one vehicle at the large area overlooking the Liverpool Plains.
Many peoiple give the inland parks a miss in summer unless they are on
water due to the heat.

Hi Ubiquity, we were there in Oct 08 and had some heavy rain so the drive back down was somewhat muddy and slow. Only a few campers then even though it was school holidays. Check out the pix in

Thanks Mark and Warrie. Both heat and rain are something that are a bit unknown for us in that part of the world. They'll certainly be considered in our final decision!
